use the power attack by swinging it in the directions of the red lines around the door.

Swing it sideways the first few times then slice infront of you once the red marks reach the middle.

Just power attack (left or right and up) according to glowing lines on the outer ring of the door.

Standing away from the wall and swinging makes it easier. Just aim the energy blasts at the cracks, in the same stroke.

omg, where exactly am i hitting the sword? cause i was hitting the door, then hit the side wall by accident and it activated. kept doing it but now the red horizontal lines are almost at the top of the door and no matter where i hit, it does nothing.

you can aim it at the top stand back i little bit.

power attacks that correspond with the direction of the lines. You do not have to hit them with the sword, just the beam.

Aim your swings at the red lines, make sure the swings are alligned to the lines (horizontal line, make a horizontal swing, etc). The sword sends forward a energy wave when you swing it so you can stand back a bit.

ugg... finally aimed at the top rim of the door and it worked. geez... i'm not the best at horizontally swiping power attacks cause my character walks that way, away from the target. i admit, i'm not the brightest crayon in the box with that, but really? that door was harder for me to get hrough than it was for me to defeat miraak. sheez....
