Has anyone heard about the bluray format being used by the next Xbox console and PC for bigger games? I think the dvd is too old and small capacity.

Yes, it's the next standard. PCs may hold off on using it for awhile since companies can release games on huge number of installation DVDs, but still only need 1 to actually run it once it's installed.
