Blurred washed out graphics?

Post » Tue May 22, 2012 9:41 am

Has anyone else got this problem? when I run the game on my HD5850 the graphics look blurry and washed out, even with all the details set to max. When I run it on the HD5750 in my media pc however, the graphics don't have this washed out blurry look to them, everything looks sharp and vibrant. What's going on? Screen shot attached to show what I mean:

Cheers!

Well, lets see. I assume you're running the game on max with FSAA on 16x? Maybe the game has FXAA on, try disabling that (I heard it might cause blurriness).
Did you tweak the ini? Try to delete the ini and start the game again. Maybe that will help.
Otherwise, maybe you have some sort of an option in the CCC that overrides the game options, by forcing no AA for example, etc.

I can definitely see the blur on the screenshot, but on both a GTS 250, and a HD5600 the game runs fine for me, with sharp textures.

I haven't changed anything in the ini file, I'm just using the game launcher/graphics options menu. I've got FXAA disabled as well?

having looked more closely at the textures in the game, I can see that they look very very ugly and low resolution

try restoring your ATI driver to factory defaults.
perferences>restore factory defaults

alot of ATI users had similar issues on day 1 and it was caused by odd driver settings that the defaults sorted out.

I use this:

I ONLY use the sharpen feature provided by the injector, though. It may seem like nothing, but the added sharpness really does make a huge difference.
