I'm trying to do the quest Boethia's Calling, I reached the shrine and was told to bring a follower to the pillar and have them touch it, then use the Blade of Sacrifice on them. I brought them to the pillar, they got svcked into it, and I stabbed them. So far so good. Then my vision gets a little crazy (seems like it's supposed to) and Boethiah possesses my fallen companion.

Cultists all run up and gather
'Aaaaaghhh, wearing flesh is so distasteful. You have caught my attention mortal. That is most unwise.'

New objective: Speak to Boethiah's conduit.

SO I hit A to talk...

hit A again, and again, and again. tried with 2 different followers, cleared system cache, the whole shebang. This is incredibly irritating. Has anyone else encountered this problem or know a fix? I love Boethiah I'll be pretty bummed if I can't even do her quest..

Edit: Have been thoroughly searching for a solution, no luck but I'm level 34 which should be enough to start the quest if what I've read is correct.

Nobody has encountered this? :/

Similar thing has happened to me, I have the guide which suggests you take a Dark Brotherhood Initiate with you to sacrifice and when I get to the pillar and tell them to activate it they just stare at me like a [censored] [censored] and say over and over "It shall be done." and nothing happens. This is INCREDIBLY frustrating and from what I'm seeing online (this is the first post I read that is similar to my problem) its not very common. Someone PLEASE help or tell how to fix.

That happened to me like 3 or 4 times, but eventually I went right up to the pillar and ordered them to touch it and it worked fine for all the attempts to fix this OTHER bug after that. Have you tried a different follower?

I posted a topic about this a few days ago, me and another player were discussing this and we have both tried many different followers and both having the same problem as the OP, it seems this quest is broken. If anyone finds a solution please let us know as I've had to move and and skip it because its so badly glitched.

I've run into this same problem. I can't get the conduit to continue the dialogue to progress further into the quest.
For those who are not encountering this problem, who did you sacrifice?
