a-bomb on xbox

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:32 pm

I'm at maybe 150 hours with my main character and I'm starting to get some weird animation glitches that are persistent between saves. Like, for instance, the conjuration magic animation doesn't work, instead i see a solid black cylinder.

So, is that indicative of the a-bomb bug?

And, if so, is there any kind of fix for xbox?

No fix for the xbox.

But that doesn't really sound like an abomb problem to me. The abomb usually shows itself as very very slow or non-existent animations.

EDIT

Abomb thread is http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/813915-slowfrozen-doors-fire-spell-etc-animations-thread-8-of-jittering-doorseffectsobjects/page__st__120__p__15391635__hl__abomb__fromsearch__1&#entry15391635

But again it doesn't seem like your problem is the abomb.

I had the black cylinder glitch for a while but it eventually went away.
No idea what caused it.

The black cylinder you see as a result of conjuration spells is NOT part of the A-bomb glitch. This is a random glitch. It goes away for a while with me, then comes back every once in a while. You will know the A bomb glitch when you get it. Like frozen fires. Repeat, what you are talking about is NOT part of the A bomb glitch.

To reduce your possibility of getting the infamous A bomb, delete older saves. I keep a running set of about 15 saves. I always create a new save, then delete an older one. I also clear the cache on various occasions. Also, the more you dupe glitch things, the more you increase your chances of getting the A bomb glitch. That said, only one character got the glitch, at a little over 900 hours.

I think there is an option to clear the cache in system settings, under memory and choose clear cache, you will have to reinstall all updates for games if i remember correctly.

You can do as som1else suggested. I do mine differently. With game in console, I start up from controller, holding down the A button until I get to the Start screen. Your menus will be a little laggy for a couple of minutes as your game loads back into the cache.

Do you mean you hold down the A button when starting the console, or you hold down the A button when starting the game?
