I was playing Skyrim, when I found a problem.

When I put books on a shelf all is ok. But, when I take one of these and return to the shelf, I can't interact with shelf or Books.

It's only my problem?

No, it's not only you having this problem. I had this last night and yet it worked fine before the latest patch.

BTW, you can verify something for me. When you take a book off the shelf and the bookcase becomes unresponsive/unselectable, can you try another game item that requires "Press X to activate" and see if you can use it?

I tried the sliding tomb access for the thieved guild and I couldn't activate the process (after I encountered the shelf bug).

I can open the door with X, yes.

I have reload the last save however, to avoid risks.

Yep, reloading a previous save is the workaround. Stay away from bookcases for the moment.

It's the only solution unfortunately.

Yup, too late for me. There are two books on the top shelf in my house, Breezehome. The shelf that's in the alchemy lab. I can't get them out and I can't store any more books. The bottom shelf was okay, it's the top that's not working well for me. svcks to have happened like that for me.

The bookshelf in Breezhome ate all my books. They're all gone, vanished into thin air and I can no longer interact with the shelf. Needless to say I use the chest above the shelf to store my books now.

Bookshelf in Solitude house, swallowed my books can't get them back.

Top Shelf:
Can no longer "activate shelf" I can see my books, but can't take them off. I can move them about within the confines of shelf.

Bottom Shelf:
Books just vanished, and now I can't "activate shelf".

What makes this more frustrating is that I have a quest that is bugged that tells me to find and read a book, which I had already found and read but hadn't updated the quest.
The book was on the bottom shelf and now the game thinks the book is where I originally found it. I checked and it's not there, just the white arrow hovering over nothing.

Grrrr.

Yep, another bug on the countless list of them.

Yeah, I got something like this in my Solitude home last night. If I filled the shelf and got the "you can't place any more books" prompt, it bumped me out of the shelf menu completely, no books appeared, gone from my inventory and the shelf could not be activated again.
