Books to Screen: Why They So Often Miss

I watch a YouTuber named MrBTongue. He has a "tongue-in-cheek" delivery that helps get his points across. A few months ago, he had a video called It is in his series called TUN, or Tastefully Understated Nerdrage :)

I think he hits on a very good point with both Game of Thrones (HBO) and his other work comparison, The Lord of the Rings movies.

There is something to be said about a book's "feel" when it goes to screen. His section on Game of Throne characters as "Bad Asses" is spot on, to me. The HBO writers totally missed the ball on that :)

Do you think he hits on a pertinent point? Do you think he's off his rocker?
