Bookstores?

Are there shops where books are sold, or are they all looted from dungeons? Something other then the College of Winterhold...

There are no bookstores. I miss them. "Jobasha's Rare Books" were like a second home to the Nerevarine :(

Even though most the books you needed for quests were not in the bookstores (which is good) in Morrowind, I do miss the bookstores just for poking around in and reading a volume that I may not have found yet.

No actual bookstores sadly. You can easily find lots of books in bandit forts though.

It disappoints me greatly that they didn't redo that book for Skyrim.

Nords do read. Especially bandits. ;) But there are books in virtually every place I've been where Nords live.

When I move to Skyrim I'm opening up a bookstore. That, and a store that sells pretty, clean dresses :)

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of bookshops. There's plenty of places where the merchant sells one or two, but nothing like the Oblivion/Morrowind ones.

Technically you can do that already. Just place those particular volumes on the shelves. The problem I find with the bookshelves though is that half the time they don't fill the shelf properly and just fall over.

thats the same problem I have
it's really annoying when the books that are part of a series arent even the same size and so they look [censored] when you put them on shelves

Even more annoying are the ones that jump out of order when you put them on the shelf. The Wolf Queen series is a massive pain in the backside for that.
