Boone has butter fingers!

Stupid Boone.... I keep buying him 5k cap weapons early on and he keeps dropping them while I am not looking so I have to buy him more. It is getting pretty damn annoying babysitting him during combat to make sure he doesn't toss his toys away.

I never had him lose a weapon. Are you giving him plenty of ammo and is it in good repair? Give him the All-American; he loves it. :)

You mean he's getting them shot or knocked out of his hands, right?

Isn't he over-powered enough for you? :toughninja: Besides I have enough trouble keeping myself supplied with ammo. I really like his magical bullets

Admittedly, it takes some effort to keep him in ammo. I have nothing better to be doing anyway though. :D

He still had 411 rounds of 5mm AP ammo left, but his Assault Carbine keeps going missing.

Boone has a habit of killstealing. Giving him a wimpy-ass little AR15 is a good way to reign him in a bit.

Oh, and the Assault Carbine is full auto. The Service Rifle is the semi-auto AR15 you're thinking of.

If a companion drops a weapon because it's been 'shot out of their hands', it means the weapon is in complete disrepair. Therefore, they will not pick it up again because as far as they're concerned, it is broken & unusable. :)

If you want it back you have to look on the ground and find/pick it up yourself, and take it to a merchant to have it repaired. (you can't self-repair once a weapon is completely broken, far as I know anyway, tho you can use a broken one to repair a not-broken one...).

I don't think they use any ammo but regular, do they? I've never seen Boone use the Armor Piercing. We can use it by switching ammo types on the gamepad setting though.

They'll use other ammo types ONLY when it's the only type (for that weapon) in their inventory. They always use up the 'regular'/cheap/less damaging stuff first. So ya gotta remove that. :)
