Boone's webbed hands

Post » Mon Aug 25, 2008 5:57 am

This kind of freaked me out. *nervous laugh* Boone and ED-E and I were cutting a swath through the Ghouls in Vault 34 last night when something horrible happened to Boone. I play on the PS3 so I just grabbed my camera and took a picture.

Freaky isn't it?

It went away next time he grabbed his rifle.

I've seen something like that before, but on a PC, with a modded glove NIF. Made the player's hands huge. It's just some graphical glitch that I think has to have a number of factors just right for it to happen.

Those aren't webbed hands. Those are Boone's "Grabby Hands" he likes to steal stuff with those hands.

Maybe his immune system was fighting some rare virus that turns you into a Deathclaw?

Oh god. Booneclaws. Like a Deathclaw, but with an overpowered gun skill, and a compulsive habit to [censored]ing about his dead wife and his dark past.

WORST WASTELAND FOE EVER.

Cut open his chest and stick a headcrab on him and you have a Half-Life zombie on your hands!

What did you expect going through Vault 34? He mutated from all the radiation.

[terrible pun]On the other hand [/terrible pun]
That is seriously the weirdest glitch I've seen, other than the 3 bark scorpions that were stuck in the ground jiggling merrily away. That was entertaining.

Happened a lot in FO3, I had it happen for the first time after completing Moira Browns "get yourself highly irradiated" quest. I was sure that I was stuck with these mutant hands for listening to her stupidity :(

Ya gotta love the Gambryeo engine. Constantly entertaining.

Here's a couple of shots of a Fiend killed while I had clipping toggled off. his hands and feet are pinned in place as his body tried to react to the ragdoll physics of the shot.

He very cooperatively posed for pictures until I toggled clipping back on and he went flying to his final resting place.

When this happened in FO3 (whether it was on an active character or a dead character) I called it "Going Gumby" because of the way they stretched. I've only seen it a couple of times in FNV but those screen captures are a riot. I've never seen it isolated to one body part like that. lol!

Maybe He got bitten by a Zombie Deathclaw that passes on its DNA :hubbahubba: I'd kill him before it gets out of hand

Anyway this happens to me all the time but only for a few seconds
