So I'm not sure if boone bugged out or what, but when I talk to him the option to talk about bitter springs is gone...hes already told me the truth about his wife, but I cant ask him about bitter springs to start his quest line....Does that sound bugged? If so anyone know away I can reset dialog with a NPC or force a quest to start via console?

Keep killing legion and the option should come up again, took me a while as well.

The Wiki is actually wrong on this. You need more "points" (I think around 7 points) for Boone to give you the quest. 5 is for him to open up about his wife. Bitterwater is another tier.

Thanks both of you for your responses, my only other question is the hole points thing, do I only get those for certain quests? Can I just kill the legion instead? Seems kinda wacky the way this guys quest system works. Already took out crystal cove, and thats where he opened up about his wife, rescued some ncr hostages in a cave near there and progressed the "For the republic" quest line abit and nothing still...so as of now im just walking around hunting legion.

Have you tried talking to Sgt Bitter Root of 1st Recon? Just a suggestion.
