Bosmer Green Pact Roleplay

Post » Thu Sep 06, 2012 1:28 pm

Okay so I decided to make a new character, and I noticed the Wood Elf.
I've never really played a Wood Elf before so I read up on their lore.
I may have misread some, so feel free to correct me if I have.
The Green Pact is basically where they are forbidden from hurting plants/trees ect.
I'm not sure if this applies to plants outside of Valenwood (im considering using alchemy)

Then there's the cannibalistic part, they are supposed to eat the entire body of their fallen enemy within three days (the family of the one who killed are also allowed to help eat the corpse)
Obviously you can't eat an entire body in the game
Spoiler
you can feed off bodies with the Ring of Namira, so I'll probably do that.

Finally, there's the Wild Hunt, where the Bosmer of Valenwood are transformed into wild beasts.
For this I could be a werewolf?

Sorry for the long post, if anyone has any ideas how I could incorporate parts of the lore for Roleplay please share :)

The Green Pact only applies to Valenwood. Bosmer often import plant materials and even wood.

I know that most Bosmer outside of Valenwood don't follow the Green Pact, but I'm thinking of Roleplaying one that still followers some traditions.

You pretty much got the idea of everything right, then.

I do believe that Bosmer are reluctant to take part in the Wild Hunt as they can never change back. If that's correct, then Werewolf might not be a good substitute.

Those changed by the wild hunt do not change back. They die at the end of the hunt. Pretty much rip each other apart.

Keep in mind that becoming a werewolf also means selling yourself to Hircine. When you die, he gets your soul, and you spend the rest of eternity in his Daedric Realm. So if your character follows the Eight, or the Nine, or some form of Aedric deities, this is not the way to go.

Yeah the Wild Hunt is really a last, last resort that they use in defence of their homeland and such.

The Green Pact actually also forbids you from using wood and such to make things, so no fletching if you have DG. Also you'd be trying not to use bows and arrows with wood in them wherever possible although it is acceptable when necessary as they do import wood products so you can buy them or pick them up if you must. You can't pick herbs and such. Obviously you can't chop wood for money.

I suppose you could make a crusade of assassinating all mill owners and workers in Skyrim.

I attempted something like this as well, only I did not include the Wild Hunt portion.

Was entertaining stalking the woods with another Bosmer and consuming any fallen enemies. Lost interest in it after doing that for a couple hours though.

After reading about the Wild Hunt, I'm not sure if I admire or despise Bosmer more than before...

You could also do a Bosmer who rejected the Pact and fled Valenwood and became paranoid to such an extent, that he/she kills all Bosmer in fear of being outed. That is why he/she is arrested in the begining for killing an innocent Bosmer. Then go around assasinating Bosmers in a parnoid state.
