Tell that to every foreign language Dawguard version of the Xbox version. :tongue:

Is it confirmed this new issue only pops up with foreign versions or are english speakers (and countries) getting this too?

I'm an English user (US) and my game crashes on startup after Dawnguard is installed. I'm uninstalling and reinstalling and will see if that helps.

The Xbox foreign language versions of Dawnguard were completely broken the first week of release.

Now I coudl load Skyrim and Dawnguard esp together withotu the crah after making steam redownload stuff but ....

I can't use swords or any weapon while on horse ... any idea why?

There seems to be no horsemounted combat on my game .

Sounds like you might not have the most recent patches somehow.
If so, you might find Steam patching your game after you close out of it, which will either fix horsemounted combat or....or completely break everything again.

Question: I have bought the German version of the game, but changed the language to English over steam. Now, if I buy Dawnguard, will I get the English or the buggy German version? (sorry, maybe that's a stupid question, but I really have no clue... :blush:

This is not possible , from a serious company I woudl expect that when I pay for something it does instantly work , not that I have to recurr to installations uninstallations , hack files, change lines, make a program , a magic rytual and hope that eventually all gets working ... this is just just ... .ANNOYING ...

And the worst thig is when I chck for understand if my game is updated and to what patch I cant find anywhere couse Steams hides masterfullly this kind of info ... plus when I clicked check on latest updates it brings me to his [censored] buy ther games page....

You can see what version of the game you have simply by hitting ESC to open up the menu during gameplay. It'll show a number at the bottom....left I think? The number indicates your patch version. Should be 1.7.something-something-something...

I'm eager to know what is your issue because I've got Italian version too and I can't wait to buy Dawnguard. However I don't want to compromize my installation.

I'd like to know if someone was able to run Dawnguard with SKSE and SkyUI ( the only mod I cannot live without ^^, )

I'm running the English version of Skyrim and Dawnguard, but I've had no problems playing with both SkyUI and SKSE so far as well as a few other mods. I hate hearing that other people are having problems.

Like I said, you might not have 1.6 or 1.7, for some odd reason.

Load up your game, load a character and hit escape, then check the bottom left of the menu screen. It should show a number that indicates what patch you've got.

Were any of your 2 mods horse-related? Mods can leave behind scripts in the save files even after uninstalling them (which is why some mods have uninstall procedures that you should follow). I bet if you start a new game it will work properly.

no I didnt do any modding to horses ... and I uninstalled too , I just created a new sword and was trying to use butdoesn't work , I then tried normal vanillaweapons and it does nothing , stays sitting on horse without extacting or anything ...

Well I just helped out an Italian fellow here on the support forum. I told him to uninstall and reinstall Dawnguard and it worked.

Now seems to work altough I still have a random crash here or there ... so ...

It was Steam to blame not really bethesda .... or perhaps ...

Not sure how anybody would want to play games with any language but english.

I'd just lulz to death and/or uninstall any game with swedish.

I mean, I watched some video of a German version of Oblivion, I literally started crying of laughter after the guard started talking. How do you stand it?
