Bound bow questions: Does it's damage increase as you do, wi

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 6:53 pm

Want to make a magic archer character but need to know a few things about the bound bow before I build one...

Does it's damage increase as you do?
Will Illusion silence perk work with it?
Can you stay hidden even though its made of light?
Can you have bound bow in one hand and healing spell in the other hand so that you can simply sheath your bow and have health in your other hand to heal yourself instead of having to go into a menu?

Thanks.

1. Don't know. I suspect not since weapon damage seems to be a static attribute although you can raise damage through perks. I'll defer to anyone who knows that subject better.
2. Haven't tried it, but I can't think of a reason why the two would be incompatible.
3. Yes. The glow/light is there as eye-candy. In reality (if there is such a thing in a fantasy game), it's not a light-source.
4. No. The bow is a 2-handed weapon, so you'll need to use a menu to swap in healing. Keep in mind that as soon as you swap, you'll lose your bow and have to resummon it, although the game remebers the last thing you had in each hand. So if you swap out a healing spell to your left hand, whatever was last in your right hand should automatically select.

Cool, 3 and 4 answered: Weapon glow wont affect sneak / Can't have bound bow and healing at the same time but have question...

(Before you cast it is it like a glowing thing that only takes up one hand like any other spell? If so couldn't I have bound bow (not cast yet) in one hand and healing in the other... and when I wanted to heal I could sheath my bow (making it go away) to see again the uncast bow in one hand and the healing in the other hand? Thanks.
