Bound Weapons and the 1-handed Perk Tree

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 8:31 pm

Simple question: Do the perks in the One-Handed weapon tree affect a Bound weapon?

In particular I'm looking at Armsman (5 ranks for double 1-handed damage) and Bladesman (Swords have a 20% chance of doing critical damage).

I would assume they do, but that's the thing, how can you even tell what the damage rating for the bound sword is? It doesn't end up in your inventory temporarily anymore so there's no way to get a figure. I'd like to know because it looks badass with two conjured swords. Is there any way to gauge the power of these weapons in general?

I'm at a loss as well =/ I wish the spell description would tell you what the damage your bound weapon dealt, although I am assuming that the conjuration skill itself affects how powerful a weapon you summon.
Still, sticking with the bound sword as my 'melee' option currently because it simply feels more 'magey' than even an enchanted weapon.

That's exactly why RPGs need text, numbers... information. But people then complain about the text, the numbers, and so on.

I want detailed stats of each piece of equipments. Damn, they can be in a separate tab if most of the players don't want to see them. But how are we supposed to compare properly the equipment, spells and such, in an efficient way ?

The answer is not taking away the information !

I use bound weapons and the '75% stamina for charged attack' perk in 1 hand tree works for me.
I would assume it works for everything else.

I guess I'm just going to have to use them more to see how they 'feel'. They just look so badass, and as long as I'm not getting my ass kicked its all good. The only problem with dual weilding them is that if I put one away to cast another spell I have to recast the bound sword, though, I always have other weapons available for a quick swap.

Someone in another thread had a clever idea to do that: equip the bound weapon and then look at another weapon and it will tell you the difference.

Yea, just read that. Good to know. Now I'm just curious if higher Conjuration skill summons higher level weapons.
