BowAim StiffnessJumpiness - Shadow Flickering and Choppy Vis

Post » Sun May 20, 2012 11:00 pm

When I use a bow and arrow, the aiming with it is so stiff and jumpy that I will never use them. It is awkward and very difficult to use. This is not normal, it is different in comparison with others I have seen using the bows and it just seems very glitchy. This is not only with the bow, but also is slightly a problem with general aiming/camera movement (swords, fists, spells, no equipped weapon).

Another BIG problem I see is the fact that the game can look VERY bad sometimes. It is very hard to explain. If I could make a prediction, it would be that it is caused by shadows svcking. From a distance, or any distance, really, the brightness of an object can change rapidly with the slightest movements. Also, shadows are pixilated and choppy when moving to begin with. Also, stairs are HIDEOUS. If I walk up a set of them, you can stop on them, take a look, and realize that their is a raise/chop in the elevation of them. This may be screen tearing, but it does not occur anywhere else, even on the same screen area as the stairs. In one of the loading screens, there is a sort of a throne. This throne is very good at showing off what I am talking about (if you possibly have the same problem). I would like to say it is my smaller, older TV, but it is also the case on my large, newer TV (with and without HDMI).

I will MAKE MY BEST ATTEMPT at capturing some footage of these problems when I get home, for you guys. It will definetley not be in any form of good quality, though, so annotations will be used to try to point out problems (I have no other means to capture video other than my cell phone).

But for now, I will be calling Betheseda up to see if I can get any information on the lag fix.

You can adjust the sensitivity of the X/Y axis in the settings, assuming the menu doesn't freeze.
