Boycott until stupid quest is fixed!

I did the whole Markarth forsworn conspiracy quest arc and as per normal. Got thrown in jail, kill the king with ease and escaped without helping any of the others in jail. Everything seemed okay. I even went to the Temple and no guards were waiting in there (I had killed them all once already before being thrown in Jail).

Now, on a series of other quests that have taken me through the dwemer ruins and to steal info from a certain wizard who resides in Markarth.. the guards are after me and constantly trying to throw me in jail. I have a bounty of 5, which seems to have been given to me for no reason. I would have to go back 15-20 hours in save games (of the 50 hours in so far) to get back to a pre-forsworn conspiracy save. SO frustrating that I simply can no longer freely roam the reach and have to avoid the area.

This bug causes more issues further in the future and ANY time you ever go to Markarth or the Reach. If you complete the Forsworn conspiracy arc early on, it will continue to haunt you forever like in my game. Its compounded by Lydia being stupid and not running away from any guards if we do get caught near the Reach by a random guard. I try to avoid killing them and leaving my bounty at 5..

I'm not playing this game any more until this stupid bug is fixed. Huge bummer for me. I was really really hoping it would be announced as a fix in 1.2 update. I don't care that my arrows don't disappear, or that my textures aren't quite great because I installed the game before playing... I want this quest fixed because it ruins the story, the experience and game. I'm going back to my CoD twitch fest for now!

I do hope you realize Bethesda doesn't care whether you actually play the game or not.

Of course they don't, they have my money! I'm not ignorant of that. :)

Dude, the game has hundreds of hours of open world content, you seriously can't do anything else till the quest is fixed, your just beating a dead horse.

Did you see the Fornsworth run out of the caves and start attacking people? Once you leave the cave the bounty is removed. If you attacked any guards (or Fornsworth I assume too) during the Fornsworth's stampede, then you will have obtain a new bounty. Your bounty is only 5, mine was 2000. I'm guessing you accidentily did something to cause the issue. Instead of [censored]ing about it why don't you just pay the fine? I'm sure 5 gold coins isn't going to break the bank.

I'm not even sure if that's an option to get out of the prison, first of all. It may be, I haven't tried it yet. But your main problem seems to be that you have a bounty of 5, and you're probably doing the Thieves Guild quest where you need to translate Gallus's journal. You have a bounty of 5 because you were trespassing in the museum. You can sneak past the guards or kill all of the guards in the museum, it doesn't matter which one you choose to do. Did you not hear the guards telling you to clear out, because you were trespassing? You never get a bounty from doing Forsworn Conspiracy, the guards just put you in jail for the quest.

It's not a bug at all, I beat Forsworn Conspiracy with no trouble whatsoever, and then I went into the wizard's museum to also see a bounty of 5 because I was trespassing. The only quest I've ever seen glitched is Waking Nightmare, neither of the quests you're on affected my game at all. All you have to do to "fix" your problem is to beat that Thieves Guild quest.

It is a bug, a pretty bad one as well seeing as it does not allow you to enter Markarth or the Reach without guards hounding for your blood. Bare in mind that I have only done 'The Forsworn Conspiracy' and have never entered the museum. It is almost impossible to avoid the guards and their dialog will only loop when you submit and get them to take you to jail. There is no option to pay the bounty or even bribe the guard.

It's getting in the way of several quests now and I hope Bethesda are aware of it and create a fix for it soon. I suspect 1.2 won't fix many of the quest issues though. Roll on 1.3!

If you're at the part I think you are, then it's part of the quest. You have to go to jail.
