Im at the stage where i have to get General Tullius and Ulfric Stormcloak to go to the peace council with the greybeards. But when i speak to Ulfric he refuses to start dialogue with me saying "hasnt Galmar told you to do something, go do it" or something to that effect but when i try to speak to galmar to complete the quest he says " i dont know how you convinced ulfric to speak to the imperials......" again not engaging in dialogue. So now i cant get ulfric to go to the peace council and my quest line is [censored]. Sorry for swearing but ive put serious hours into this character, hes reached level 37 and its by far my favourite way to play so dont really want to have it broken but i seemed screwed now? Any fixes would be awesome. If your having the same issue then speak up and it might get noticed and fixed.....maybe.

Hi there; similar problem for me.

I'm at the same stage in the main quest line - I have to convince Tullius and Ulfric to sit down together and have a chat with the Greybeards. I can convince Ulfric fine, but with Tullius my dialogue is limited to either "take the oath to join the imperials", or "think it over a little more" (paraphrased).

Obviously I've done the first stage in joinging the imperials (cleared out a fort) and reported back to the Nord General (or is it Legate?) standing opposite Tullius, but I don't want to take it any further and join the Imperials. Surely Tullius has other things to talk about than me joining the Imperial ranks.... I would think that when I click "think it over", it should return me to a broader set of topics to discuss with him, including getting him to the meeting with Ulfric and the Greybeards... instead it just exits dialogue with him.

Please fix this ASAP - I want to continue the main story!

On a lighter note, kudos Bethesda - put simply, it's an outstanding game. I expected something superb to continue The Elder Scrolls, and boy did you guys deliver!

Damn - after posting I realised I'm on the PS3 section - I'm PC.... (I searched this problem and this post came up).

Did you join Stormcloak? I read somewhere in this forum that if you join Stormcloak u might not have the chance to progress. Maybe it's a bug issue. I'm not sure about it. I just read it somewhere here. Not sure whether it's true or not.

no.. i haven't join any faction yet.. i just read about it here somewhere.. i stop playing since the game keep freezing on me.. maybe i'll wait for the full patch before i start playing again..

i had this problem, but the opposite.

i spoke to the jarl fine, and then i had to speak to the general. at this point i hadn't chosen a side.

the general kept asking me if im ready to take the oath yet - it didn't allow me to talk about the peace treaty.

eventually i gave in and took the oath.
then later i had to complete some crappy mission, and then next time i spoke to the general, it allowed me to talk about the greybeards quest.
