Ok, so this seems like I might be stuck! I got given Hod in Riverwood to "rough up", but the problem is that Hod never leaves his house, and thus I can't find him in a brawl with anyone.

I can go in his house (tresspass) but as he's not in a fight, I can't complete the quest!

It's a companion quest, so kinda important I do it - any ideas?

(PS, I've searched on here and couldn't find anyone with the same person - Hod)

have the same problem. hod stays inside at all times, right from the start of the game, no matter whom you side with at the beginning.

Hmm, well I tried again today....and fixed it somehow!

I'll post what I did, though most is likely irellevant:

I had the intention of breaking in and punching him, then getting arrested, so I ditched the majority of my gear (minus some gold for getting out of jail.).
I fast travelled to riverwood at night and spoke to the kid outside, then standing up (not sneaking) opened the door - it said "novice" as if locked, but worked anyway just by opening it.
When I got in, he was facing the other way, and I wasnt sneaking - so I just spoke to him and got the correct dialogue.

Very odd, but worked fine!
