I've been going through my shout list and hunting down all of the word walls so that I may have all of my shouts at level 3.

I started on Frost Breath, killed the two dragons for the first two words, started doing "Forbidden Legend" side quest to get the third, and when I got to the wall nothing hapened. The word in the wall glowed a little, but no absorbtion at all.

So this svcks because now no matter what I do, I can't get all of my shouts up to full strength.

Has anyone else had this problem, or know of a fix for this?

There are a couple of cases where a word wall doesn't work if you have already gotten that word from a quest, but I can't think why it would happen in your case.

If you're on PC, you can use the console to add the word. Look up console commands, add shout.

You can get the words in any order. So, are you at the right place? The 3 locations for Frost are:

Yeah, I've got the strategy guide, and have been following it.

Skyborn Altar and Bownstrewn Crest are both dragons. I've killed both of them, and got two words from them. Folgunthur is for the forbidden legend quest, and that's the one that doesn't work.

I know, dumb question, but did you check your Magic List? I have had a word wall start to glow then I had to move away to deal with a pesky dragon priest so it never seemed to finish the animation effect. But, I had the Shout to unlock.

Also, cells do not always render correctly. The fix is to reload the game, in this case, I would choose a save from before you entered the Crypt cell that contains the Word Wall.

I think I have a save from before I started it all. I just might start it all over again, and see if it works the second time through.

I can't think of anything else to try.
