MM is the only one that lets you keep the BOS and RR alive. However, the Institute must be destroyed in the MM ending.

As for which is best, make your own choice based on what the game shows you. Trust me, NEVER lets video game forums make decisions for you. The people here have different beliefs on what is right and what is best so decide for yourself. What someone likes may not necessarily be what you like.

With the Minutemen you can end the game with 3 of the 4 factions alive.

There is no objectively better faction, as we all believe in something different. Every faction has good and bad to offer and its up for you to decide the fate of the Commonwealth yourself. :gun:

Personally, my current character is still taking part in the conflict but its coming to a close soon enough. Just made the Brotherhood hostile (you don't know how long I've waited to finally shoot those annoying Vertibirds out of the sky) and currently working for both the Railroad and the Institute. I'm really liking both of their questlines they have to offer and definitely looking forward to helping the Railroad finish off the Brotherhood in a certain quest. :disguise:

I'll have to decide between them though sooner or later but that's the fun in it when it comes to factions in Fallout. But yeah, I'm liking the Railroad and Institute quests. Not sure about the Minutemen and don't really care because they had already bored me (and annoyed me) to death from the get go.

Each faction has their own points. Gotta see through that.

I can see the point of each faction. I also see the bad side.

But I pick peaceful ending, because I don't want to lose a companion.

"A lesson, if you will. There're other organizations out there. And, in time, I'm sure they're going to spoon-feed you their own patented form of bull-crap. Ignore the verbiage and look at what they're doing. What they're asking you to do. What sort of world they'd have you build and how they're going to pay for it." - Deacon

The above is the life lesson to live by.

Watch what they are doing, not just listening to what they are saying, and make your choices based on your belief system (or that of your character if roleplaying).

Good luck, and enjoy the game.

After Act II, there will be a line drawn... all I can say remember Bunker Hill as there might a quest two beyond it, but that after that quest, one faction is out at least.

There is a warning pop-up to let you know kindly.

next run thru will be an agi/luck/melee character. i will side with the RR that time.

for most, MM are considered to be the true good ending.

RR infuriates me, tbh. Love the colonial days of secrecy of sorts back in its time, but the group is too single minded for the Commonwealth. Plus the "introduction" when you find them left me sour,. A cool companion is a bit of a bonus, but likes to lie too much.; depends on you thereafter.

My opinion? Brotherhood with Minutemen. Minutemen provide defensive strength for the settlements as BoS goes on the offensive by taking out raider gangs, super mutants and feral dens.

Might be making radioactive stuff for Ingram. Basically its antifreeze/gas canister/ and "I think" dirty water mixture.

You can join them all initially and then try out their quests (say do about five from each) just to get a feel for what kind of work you'll be doing post-MQ.

I've done all the endings except MM. The quests for the Institute would usually leave a bad taste in my mouth. The quests for the RR could be interesting as they are more undercover and stealth like, but also boring for the same reason. The BoS quests are generally combat oriented. Either clear a place out or clear a place out and get some tech. Course there's also the escort missions. The MM I can imagine are more or less settlement related and I've had more than enough of those thank you.
