bug? glitch? help!

Post » Mon May 21, 2012 10:26 am

Hello, I have a strange glitch/bug that I have no idea how it happened nor why. When I have 2 one handed weapons equipped and I swing with only the right weapon (rt) it swings extremely slow. If I power attack with my right handed weapon my stamina regens before I'm done with my swing. I cam still attack with my left hamded weapon (lt) and dual attack (lt+rt) just fine. I've tried uninstalling it from my console then reinstalling. I've tried re loading my character, I've tried a new controller. Only to end up with the same outcome.
Any suggestions?
I can upload a video later today to show you what I mean.

I've read about this before. Try another weapon, see if that helps. Just use one sword/axe whatever. Than try dual wielding again.

I like the dual weilding of swords but have decided to use heal in my left hand when I want to use dual weild. Did you try a smaller one-handed weapon in your left hand? It might make a difference. I know it looks better with the same weapons in each hand. I am just offering suggestions. The smaller blades tend to swing the fastest. Do you have the whirlwind shout that makes your attack faster? (as long as none of the weapons are enchanted). I have a couple of smithed up Elven daggers I use when I want to dual weild.

That is crazy. I was considering a duel wielder, thanks for the warning. So lame...

Well, there's no two ways about it. That's pretty much bugged.

well its not dual wielding by itself thats bugged, this one I know, and its not the controller, that was obvious before the guy made the video... all my characters have been dual wielding and i have one thats maxed out on the single handed tree (100 + all perks). The one consistant thing that I dont do is use weapon attack effecting shouts (i.e. like slow time) that give you a extra advantage against your enemy... so Its a guess here, but i'd have to say it probably happens when you have all your dual wieding perks and combine it with a certain shout. potions and skill boosting armors don't seem to cause it to happen.

I only did the perks that helped daggers in 1H and DW Daedric Daggers, I never noticed any issues with it even with slow time but i could have not paid enough attention to it either

you probably wont get the glitch using daggers, as there is a bug where the daggers dont seem to be attached to all the one handed skills. (i.e. like the headsman axe isn't attached to all the two handed skills)
