During the quest Alduins Wall, the NPC Esbern does not talk at all and I cannot interact with him... why is this? I cant continue the story line

yea I patched before reaching this issue actually. well i was still able to complete the quest, just without having any idea as to what this guy was saying. so i missed a chunk of story... and it looks like he will continue to play a large role :/

I have this problem as well. I am trying to get him... all ive manages to do so far is burn him to a crisp

I too have the issue with this NPC, no audio from him, and any subtitles just show up for a split second. I'm now stuck at the treaty discussion quest and nothing happens for 40+ minutes, with other NPCs focusing attention on him.

I'm also unable to use the carts for fast transport.

Any news about patch or fix?

Here is solution:
- Download and install FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager), if there is no Fallout 3, do not worry, the main installation checkbox to put the file associations *. bsa
- Open the file by double clicking Skyrim - Voicesixtra.bsa, extract the contents into the Data folder in the game directory.
