i found the misc item "Rjorns Drum" a while ago and i have only now just found the person who was looking for it. when i talk to him, he says he had been looking for it more than 20 years. it gives no indication that a quest has been completed, and the item stays in my inventory (permanently, as it is a quest item). there are no dialogue options about a quest when i talk to him either. but as soon as i told him that i had it, 5 of my skills instantly leveled and he didnt take it from me

the guys name is Geraud Gemane and he can be found at the bards college in solitude.

is this another broken quest or am i missing something?

It's a bug! I completed all the bard quests and none of them take the Items. The game will not let you play them either. Yes! I am the bard that can't sing,write,dance, or play a drum!

It doesn't bother me as much as all the Bard's in Skyrim knowing only 2 songs... 2!

Bugs:

After you turn in the quest, the drum will remain in your inventory, still marked as a quest item.
PC players can remove the quest item using the Console and the following console code: Player.removeitem 000DABA9 1
