Second time I've had trouble with DB questlines and items being buggy and or not there.

Any help?

it's supposed to be on the gourmet's corpse after you kill him. if it's not and you are on pc (i believe you are): player.additem 0003BEB6 1

I googled that, added it. I see it in my inventory but the quest does not complete. Still says I need to loot it ??

If you still need to loot it, try this. open the console, click the Gourmet's corpse then type in additem 0003BEB6 1 . You should then be able to loot it from his corpse.

did you get the quest update that you took the writ of passage?

if not, try:
