I'm doing the quest "Hitting the Books" obtained in Winterhold College. I've gone through Fellglow Keep and got to the last chamber where I killed The Caller and was only able to find 2/3 of the stolen books. No matter how hard I search the room (even with a glowing mage light) I cannot find the third book. I don't even have any saves to go back to and try again, since it has autosaved over my last 4-5 slots already.

So basically - the entire quest line cannot be finished. Will this dungeon reset at some point? Or can I just forget about finishing it??

UPDATE: I found the third book! It had been knocked on to the floor of the main area from the main pedestal. I probably used Unrelenting Force shout during the battle and knocked it onto the floor. I didn't see it because:

a) the quest marker was no longer showing above the book
and
the book's color made it blend in almost completely to the floor texture

So anyone else who can't find the third book - look closely! Especially if you might have used Unrelenting Force. Even with a mage light it was hard to see.

Had the same problem and was going to tell you to check the floor but I guess you found it. I agree, they should change the books texture as it was practically invisible.
