This thread has two things for you people.

Firstly, has anyone noticed that when people get into combat, even if it is a random passerby coming under attack by a wolf or bear, yell "BURN IT! BURN THE VAMPIRE!"? This is kind of odd but amusing. Perhaps people are really paranoid after the recent vampire attacks?

Secondly, any time I head into Riverwood, Alvor and Faendal group up on me yelling "BURN IT! BURN THE VAMPIRE!" and try to kill me. What am I doing wrong? If this is any help, this is my character: Level 81 Vampire Lord with Stage 4 Vampirism, has completed the Dawnguard questline in favor of the Volkihar, wears Harkons armor, is equipped with Harkons Sword and Forsworn Sword. I also have a ring of one handed, a scaled helmet, vampire gloves and vampire boots. This has NEVER been an issue before! Although I just walked out of the Sleeping Giant Inn about 5 minutes ago and some mage challenged me so I attacked him but he said "You're cheating!" so I said oh right, this is a mage battle! so i pulled out my Vampiric Drain spell and svcked the life out of him. Nobody, not even the town guard did anything! Now, 5 minutes later, I enter the Riverwood trader and bam, Faendal stops cooking and yells things at me and hurls arrows in my direction. Same with Alvor. If I kill them nothing happens since they are the aggressors, so it's obviously not my vampirism instigating anything. Any help is appreciated.

Wow, apparantly Hod and Gerdur decided to take me on as well. That's two more to the death toll in Riverwood.

are you sure your not at stage 4?
