As I understand it, exposure to sunlight will eventually turn your vampire's skin burnt and cause it to look "dirty."
There is (was?) a glitch related to this that would cause your face to become permanently charred and even curing your vampirism wouldn't make it go away.
It is also my understanding that wearing any kind of hood (but not helmet--it specifically has to be a "hood" such as a hooded robe, thieves guild hood, or I assume the shrouded cowl, etc) will prevent this effect from occurring as it prevents "exposure" (which explains why wearing full ebony/deadric armor doesn't prevent the effect since those are all "helmets" despite covering over 95% if not all of your body).
In contrast to the aforementioned glitch I'm under the impression that curing vampirism does indeed reset the appearance of your character and fix the burny face texture, however I have not tested this myself and it is only hearsay...same as the glitch.
I was just wondering what of all this information is correct as I do not wish to get the burny face texture on my vampire. Additionally does curing vampirism fix your crispy skin or is the glitch still at large?
Will edit later with some conclusions in bullet point form.
