bying arrows and practising shooting

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 6:01 am

Don't really know why, but i find it quite relaxing to travel between Solitude, Markarth and Whiterun
for some arrow shopping. After some good deals i usually do some target practise behind http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Jorrvaskr.

It's nice how the little things make this game so great!:)

All I want is to pay old gray-mane a visit and pick up some skyforge steel arrows, custom made for the dovahkiin. but no, none of that. and god forbid you forge your own damn arrows

Maby us hunters will be lucky with the next update:) Looks like we are going to get crossbows for starters. (though i don't really think crossbows are
any weapon for a wood elf. To noisy.)

My wood elf wouldn't touch such a novice device. my nord however might just find a place for it in his inventory

what tree would crossbow go off of anyway?...

I usually don't buy anything from the stores, but I do like going to anywhere in Skyrim that has a wicked environment and going for target practice with the bow+arrow. It seems as though I can't create a character that doesn't use archery. Can't get enough of it.

They're adding in crossbows? I was just getting to wondering why Tamriel didn't seem to have any of those. :P My Altmer character could use one.

if you like target practise try shooting the targets behind http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Jorrvaskr standing on the far left side of the area
(so that the Honningbrwe Meadery are on your right shoulder) The rule is: you get five arrows for each target
and you have to hit inside the red circle on each target. What makes it really hard is that your are actually shooting
sideways at targets that almost don't have any area that you can hit from your standpoint.

Oh my god. Now I don't think it's ruining a surprise or anything, because you likely wouldn't find it unless you were to look it up, but I HIGHLY suggest you do so (it's really out of the way. hell, I even knew where it was and I still had trouble finding it).

One of my more memorable Skyrim experiences and from what I can tell, you'll feel the same. No need to thank me, brother

Like I said... to be fair, it's hard to find WITHOUT googling it. And you're very welcome. It's an experience every archer should have.

In the snowy mountains just south east of Falkreath, there's a lady in a cabbin called Angi, she actually offers real time bow training, it's quite cool! And will get your marksman up about 6-7 levels.

The last part of the training can be tricky though, I recommend the zoom in perk.

Merci. I'll have to do that next time I play Skyrim. ^_^
