so i've had fallout new vegas since it came out, and recently i just decided to explore every possible square inch of the wasteland. recently i discovered camp mccarran, which i knew of before but had never been to. i went about my usual method of killing every single living thing i see, and about 50 feet or so into the camp my game crashes. i've reloaded it many times, and it keeps happening over and over again, not necessarily at the same exact spot, but at about 50 feet or so inside the camp. i don't know if this has anything to do with it, but i killed about 20 ncr before my save point (about 10 feet inside the camp) so basically i can only walk for 10 seconds or so until it crashes. i have never had this problem before in any other place, and other than this my game runs extremely smoothly. any help or suggestions would be appreciated
Im having this problem aswell, and the reason to it is an error in the games codeing. and the thing about codeing errors is that it cant be fixed by us, only Bethesda can go back in and re edit it. cause my game runs smooth anywhere else, but as soon as i enter camp MCcarran its an instant crash every 30-50 feet, or 1-2 min of being inside the camp. but at times i can go in and it will be fine, but other areas become a crashing spot. i have also realized that if you have the game running on steam...when you run fallout and click the "data files" option. you see a file called "FalloutNV.esm" and if you double click it, it brings up the crashing error. so its a corrupt file in the game (codeing). and its causeing certain spots to becomed bugged.
I hope this helps, and hopefully thell get it fixed ASAP.
