Are you wearing some kind of faction armor? Legion, Great Khan, Powder Gander, Brotherhood of Steel?

I'll just bet you tried to enter the monorail, if so your going to have to revert to an earlier save to bypass the distrust.

Ok I think I may have walked past the monorail door but I did not try to enter am no 15 hours in to the game and I cant revert back to an earlier save as the games on auto save and overwrites the saves

I was wearing reinforced leather armour at the time and had no probs chatting with all in and out of the terminal building until a walked past that door upstairs with the 2 NCR on it

There must be something I can do someone must have had the same prob

TBH if I have to start the game again for something as silly as walking past a door thats the end for me Ill move on to another game sad I know :(

Thanks again derv

YOU DONT SAVE?!?!?!? How the hell have you gotten this far?

When playing this game, it's best to save atleast once every 10 minutes. Every once in awhile you make a mistake and you can't rely on the Auto-saves.

Try leaving, not coming back for awhile. while your away do some NCR side quests to get your rep up. then when youre liked or Accepted then try to go back.

If your rep. is Neutral you need to stay away of any door the guards tell you (you have to listen to what they say when aproaching them because they say it only once)

Try doing some sidequest for NCR until Accepted or above before being free to move inside.

You shoud be able to reload the game from the autosaving file, unless you already went trough another door.

Or you could try snipping them out while hidden from far away with a silenced weapon (won't affect rep. if it's a stealth kill).

All I can say is what they all said above. Get your rep up by doing some NCR side quests and then go back there and then they should have liked you know and will not harm you.

it might possible to at least bring it back to neutral by doing some quests. if you didn't kill anybody. so save the game when you see NRC. you might be able to do some quests for them despite having a negative rep.

i think it is possible after seeing house that your rep will be restored. as i recall, somebody from NRC will ask you to see their ambassador on the strip.

Eh? I've used the Monorail when I was neutral with the NCR at clvl2, never got any warning or told to stay away. It's how I avoid paying to get into the Strip.

To the OP...I'd agree with the suggestion to try leaving the area and waiting a few days, and then going back...see if the cell/hostile NCR resets (if it's a bug). Other than that....if you do start over...hard saves, they are your friend.

Hold on there, who said anything about paying to get to the strip?
I've never "paid" to get there, only a "credit check" is mandatory.
Closely monitored my cap count while going through gates, and never lost 1 cap.
As for the OP, there is one place you're not allowed to go in the terminal, and that's the monorail.
I got my backside handed to me AFTER disarming the "(not telling)", so that wasn't an alternative transport method.

Perhaps I misunderstood the other person. My point was that you don't have to enter the Strip from Freeside and that the (free) monorail way to the Strip is not blocked off for me. I think it could be/was blocked off because of a quest bug (that's supposedly fixed now) - it never was blocked off for me even doing that quest, tho, but...

the other point I was making was that you could use the monorail to get to the Strip before you've done any quests at all. I've never even had a credit check. The OP didn't make it clear what point in the game they were in...if they haven't done that monorail/spy quest yet & they aren't hostile towards the NCR, the terminal shouldn't be blocked off or require any permission.

Unless Boone is your companion or your wearing NCR faction armor. You need good reputation with the NCR or they open fire. After warning you not to approach.

Oh? I've done it with only having Arcade as my companion..again, this was rushing there, without doing any quests first. Maybe I had another 'positive' bug tho. Haven't tried it since patch 1.2 either:if t was a bug for me, maybe it's gone now. I'll have to check it out again later.

It's weird because I remember passing through acouple of times without being shoot or warned but that was before paying any attention to them and was rushing by, but they do give a warnig if you're not welcome near the door, same with the guards at the Nellis gates (this actually when working on their quest and try to explore the area... they soot me and even died by their own fire).
