A campsite would be sweet!

I think Bethesda should put in the option of buying a campsite at stores, (much in the same way as in Red Dead Redemption). But a camp that is interactive. It could be placed anywhere in the grand world of Skyrim, and moved anytime. So you could get a permanent campsite to come back to. Not everyone wants to live in one of the bigger towns and cities.

The start camp may contain a sleep roll, campfire and a knapsack (for stuff). Then you could upgrade this camp at various stores with a tent, cooking pot/spit, chest, a bed, chopping block and whatever else you might need at a more permanent campsite.

In this way you could live at some really beautiful places all around Skyrim. Wouldn't that be nice?!

Bethesda: please do this. I don't think I am the only one that would find this awesome... Thanks!

(I play on Xbox360 so I don't have the possibility of doing a mod if that is even possible...)

I would probably use a campsite if they were in the game. However I would be a little skeptical on where to place it since I don't want any mudcrabs to come creeping while I'm dozzing off.

If I had a campsite though it would probably make me neglect the Inns even more than I already do. I try to stay in them as often as I can though. I love the inns in Skyrim.

I really liked it in Red Dead Redemption. If they were able to do it just as good as they did it there, I say go for it.

I've been trying several mods in the past where we could do this in TES/FO, and it is not without issues. It's definitely not a simple thing to implement, but it should be far from impossible.

A RDR style campsite would be great for role play purposes as well.

Someone suggested this about a month ago as well. I love Red Dead Redemption, one of my favorite games of all time. I love the idea. Though, you could just wonder around a bit and you'll eventually find a campsite. But why waste time wondering around for a used campsite when you can make your own?

I love how there are random, seemindly abandoned campsites scattered all over Skyrim (with food cooking and everything). I don't know whether whoever sets up these camps are incredibly hospitable, or just stupid for not removing them once he/she moves on.

He just said he played on Xbox. Though, I will have to admit, that's pretty cool how you can craft your own campsite.

I posted that for the true sons and daughters of TES who play it on PC and aren't aware of this mod.

It's the Bears you have to watch out for, they absolutly frikken hate campers.
Luckily there are none left in the wilds of Britian as I am sure they would hate carivans even more.

Unluckily for console users there is no way of setting up your own camp, but you would be surprised by how many actual unmarked camps there are in Skyrim already waiting for you to find and use.
Some right good ones too.
