I can already see flying food.

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 10:19 pm

So i spent about fifteen minutes placing plates on the table in hjerm with all the food like carrots, sweet rolls, bread, cheese wheels and all. Walk into the kitchen put all the pizza wheels on the benches and the baskets with carrots in them. Oh i might go outside get me another basket. Walk along the path towards the stores buy me a basket then go home. Walk in the door. Carrots are thrown at my face. I walk towards the table and floating plates are everywhere. Walk in the kitchen and the baskets are thrown across the room.
.....
ffuuuuuuuuuuuu...

hope they fix this. >:(

That's the kind of "fix" that would require an entire re-write of the engine.... Not going to happen.

I think this is just how Havok physics work with the Creation engine... (but at least it's better than Oblivion)
Maybe TES VI will finally fix the crazy flying objects.

Perhaps you can use that fix where you just drop the item on the floor, walk out the cell then back in and place them, it's worked for everything in my house. :)

I still have to get that confirmed in my case , but I did hear it is the solution.

i never placed stuff in this game
i did in oblivion and never had that issue
i had shields, shoes etc everywhere
never had the stuff fly all over the place
so maybe its a skyrim issue?

I wonder whether it will be worth displaying stuff in Hearthfire. I don't want to spend time just for the engine and glitches to screw everything up.

Not happening, i haven't tried placing much in Skyrim, but nothing as game shattering as that would happen.

Perhaps a system where we can place items in a 'build mode' kind of way so that when they're placed they stay static and don't move, unsure how you would retrieve them however
