I want to read some of the lore ahead the game launch. Can anyone recommend which books to start with?
I found a ton on Amazon but have no idea where to begin.
Thx.

So where would I start? Is the online game started at a certain time period, certain region, etc...?
How did you manage to find a ton of books on Amazon? There are only two published TES novels (Infernal City and Lord of Souls).
I refer you to every book in Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.
Although, if you just read all the books in Skyrim, you would be mostly up to date because there are books from past games in Skyrim.
Alternatively, you can check out the Imperial Library link posted above after reading this: http://elderscrollsonline.com/en/game-guide/story
Interregnum. Second Era, 6th century.

Actually most ended up being various copies of the game, guides and etc...

One does not simply just "Catch up" on TES lore. There are many levels of depth in the lore that you can get into. Getting an idea of what's going on in the world and major events of the past is one thing, but deep lore of metaphysics is one thing, and understanding that part of the lore is another. The point is; 36 lessons can be headache inducing. Start with lighter stuff before trying that (or jump right in, I'm not your boss. You could love it)
