Can Bethesda make Lydia remember what she was wearing when w

I've looked thru Creation Kit and all you can do is make a default something, anything.
So I could make the default be none for Lydia, so she could wear clothes and whatever I want her to wear, okey.

But when she goes home, she will reset to the default that is now - being naked, yeah.

So can\will Bethesda do anything with this, what do you think?

Would be nice to send Lydia home to Lakeview Manor and actually see her going around the fort with her latest look\armor\clothes that she was using when she was my travel companion! :(

actually with me she uses the better armor its the one i give her and doesnt switch, maybe its because of Ufo(mod) though but i dont think so

Wouldn't you just make what you want her to wear the default?

I find it funnier that she comments: 'Look, a cave. I wonder whats inside.' After leaving the cave.

It is some mod that is doing this. They may not revert back right away, you might even have to leave the cell they are in, but at some point before you can get back to re-hire them, their armor changes back to default. However as soon as you hire them again, they put on the good stuff..

I never had a problem with Lydia. Yeh she would remove her stuff, but once we went outside when she was following me again she put it back on.

UFO *will* get rid of the default armor/apparel for followers, but you have to choose the "You know..." dialogue option and then tell them they could dress better. That will open up their complete inventory, including the default stuff that is usually hidden. Once you have access to it, if you take it away it will NEVER respawn. This is why disabling UFO without going through the proper in-game uninstallation procedure can result in former followers turning up nekkid later in your game.

I can confirm that if you use UFO and do the "you could dress better" dialogue and take away her default armor and give her something else to wear, the default stuff will not come back. On one playthrough I had all five homes and housecarls and all of the housecarls lived in my homes and wore fine clothes and boots and kept their preferred weapons (sword or axe) on their persons, but all their armor and other "traveling" gear was stowed away in a chest. It never respawned in their inventories.

The problem is the default outfit, you see the outfit dropdown for the character with selected outfit and no clothing inventory.
Simple solution is to set outfit to none and add the armor / clothing in inventory however this will make the character nvde. easy solution is to use an script who removes and add the clothing on init, this will cause them to equip the gear.
