i bought the house and have the decorating book but Proventus says nothing about it.

is this some kind of glitch?

i have the book on me and the only follower i have is Lydia who is standing right behind me

edit: as a side note, i tried dropping the book and picking it up but as soon as i dropped it it disappeared. maybe it's the book that's glitched...

You have to talk to him when he is in the main hall. if he is up on the great porch it doesnt give you an option

Make sure it's business hours too, 8am - 8pm.

that was the problem, i was trying to talk to him on the Great Porch. I guess he doesn't like to be bothered when he's eating lunch. XD

no problem lol i stalked him until he gave me the option, had the same problem
