Can I craft mage robes?

Can I craft my mage robes, or do I need to buy them? I don't think I saw any smithing option to craft any, unless I'm too low level in BS.

Sorry bro. No wool in this game, so no crafting material available for that. Wait for the CK, and if on console.... tough luck.

Yup, on console, but am buying the PC version as well. Ok, so I need to buy them from the College then I assume? I can still enchant them yes?

Well, the College is robably the cheapest way to get mage robes. Many places sell things like Blue Robes and College Robes, but if you want robes that actually look megay you gotta go for the Novice/Apprentice/Adept robes, which sadly isn't enchantable as they are already enchanted.
One tip though, don't buy your robes from the Dunmer. I bought an Adept Robe from him, and realised the mage in the next room sold ti for over 700 gold cheaper.

You can put enchantments on the regular and fine clothes, but you'll probably find better bonuses on apparel you find in Skyrim untill you reach 100 enchanting.

Yeah, but magey robes are much cooler than the clothes. I absolutely love the Novice/Apprentice/Adept robes. Expert, not so much.

Just wish I could find un enchanted death speaker robes. The ones with the green skull. Or the dark brotherhood one.

The problem I'm finding, tho I'm only lvl 19, is that there arent many basic robes/hoods (ie no enchatments on it) so I can keep the appearance of say.... adept robes and enchant them with my own choice of enchantments.
