Can't cure disease!

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 6:03 am

For some reason, the game shows I have 1 disease. I don't know what it is or how to cure it. I've drank cure disease potions, been to shrines and it won't go away. I've already gone through companian lycan quests and cured myself of being a werewolf and pretty sure I got a well rested bonus after that. Don't think I've been bitten by vampire, nothing has happened to show that yet. It's been like this for awhile and pretty sure I would have shown symptoms by now.

Not sure if this is a bug or what. Is there some console command or something that will eliminate any disease I have?

Thanks

What does it show under "active effects"? Any disease should show up there and tell you the name of what it is...where are you getting the indication you have one if it's not under active effects, with the disease name displayed?

Nothing shows under Active effects?(I think that's what it's called)If you have a disease it would be there.

Where do find active effects? Under General Stats, I don't see it there.

Magic from the 4-way menu.

How do you know you have a disease if you haven't checked Active Effects?

The chick in the Alchemist's shop in Whiterun is probably saying stuff to him to get him to buy stuff. :P

Are you looking in your game stats? If so, you might be misreading the bit that tells you how many diseases you have contracted since playing the game, not the amount of diseases you currently have.

Yup, she says that about you not looking well all the time, it means nothing. Usually though, if someone else on the street (like a guard or other passerby) says it, you might want to chack yourself out.
ANd, just to reinforce what others have said, you look under "Active Effects" in the magic section of the 4-way menu ( the Skills, Magic, Map, and Items menu, also known as the character menu) and NOT in the general stats menu

Ah...ok....I don't apper to have an active disease, and yes it I guess I was misreading game stats section. BUT....I did just notice that the days as a werewolf section keeps increasing. So maybe the game thinks I'm still a werewolf, even though I've cured. Just out of curiosity, I grabbed another Glenmoral which head and tried to to cure it again, but it doesn't do anything. So perhaps a bug preventing me from getting the sleep bonus.

That's what I was thinking, but he wrote "the game shows me", which sounds more like a statistic he read than something an alchemist told him...

Yeah, he's probably looking at Stats.
