I haven't played DG yet (PC) but I hated vampires in previous games. I tend not to use "transform" powers very much, and usually get stuck with the drawbacks 24/7. Thus, I only really see drawbacks.

Serana is present in the Dawnguard and Vampire side of the DLC.

I'm downloading it now I made a save a few days ago then let my character become a vampire just to try it out. TBH It seemed to be a bit of a pain in the neck lol. You have to keep out of the sun and have to spend time sneaking up on sleeping victims to svck on there blood. If you leave it to long and the blood lust grows people notice your a vamp and attack you on sight.

The sun may not be a problem by the end of the vampire quest line....

ooo good, im liking this so far, the perk tree is whats doing it for me, goes perfectly with my high elf, sneak archers, and been the listener of the dark brotherhood, i'll do the other play through on my mage save
