Can Delaying The Main Quest Cause Bugs?

Post » Fri Jan 04, 2013 11:45 pm

I've spent almost 7 or 8 hours (7 or 8 days in game) in and around Riverwood, but never went to Whiterun. However, the day I was going to go to Whiterun Stump died. I was leaving the Riverwood Trader and all of a sudden Stump is up in the air. Surprise surprise Stump fell to his death. Now I know Mammoths can do this though, I've only seen it happen once.

Never happened to me before so I was using cause and correlation or is it correlation and cause? Stump had only died once before though it wasen't due to a vampire or dragon attack. I saw his corpse over the fence in front of the inn, so I had no idea what happened.

You might have dawnguard but i think that might depend on the level

Dawnguard vampires attack. But i think that's cities not towns

Of all my times in Riverwood or passing Riverwood that was my first time, Stump fell to his death.
