Can't even install the game?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 11:14 am

So I just came home from midnight release, I inserted the dike, but all it does is make clicking noises and doesn't run. :/ What the hell?

Same for me, you can put in the cd key on steam and it downloads. But the disc just makes noises

I can see the files, but it doesn't want to install them for some reason. I tried cancelling reinstalling, and no nothing is working.

Is it possible to copy all the files to your C:\ and then install?

The disk shows up on another computer but doesn't do a thing on mine. I put in a different disk in my drive and it put up in no time

I love the fact that I can't even attempt to play the game because of some ridiculous copy protection that stores some files online. Obviously the Steam servers weren't ready to handle this. My download has 4 hours to go and has been saying that for 30 minutes. Glad I went to the release event to buy a phsyical copy of a game I can't even play. THANKS STEAM AND BETHESDA THIS WILL BE THE LAST GAME I BUY FROM EITHER OF YOU.

Ok I got it to work. What I did was put the CD in, went to were all the drives are and double clicked the E drive and waited. Then the window popped up.

I was getting the clicking noises as well, but I just let it click for a while, then it ran smoothly.

Also, look at this for info on installing from disk: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/452910-installing-skyrim-from-the-dvd/
