Got the Defib and Headed out. Obvious way out is through sewer, but sewer door will not activate.
Please Help!

The exact same thing is happening to me! I've even tried reloading to an earlier save and not even that worked! X( HELP! This is obviously game ending/ a game breaker. );

Yes, it is a game breaker. I can't get any more quests until I finish this one apparently.

I'm on that mission right now. If you think about it, it's a really good time to end the game. It's a like a big crescendo; just as when your getting used to the texture blur pop-ins...BAM! Low res textures mofo! The two really compliment each other.

I had the same issue, but right before you get the defib. I loaded an old save from when I just got to Wellspring, then did all the missions _before_ Defib Upgrade, and then it worked okay. Overall, really disappointing.

Any news on this one? Is there a work-around?

I guess the only work-around is to contact bethesda and request a refund? Also, I am too enjoying the texture blur pop-ins...

I also hit this problem... and the only solution is to go back to before arriving at Wellspring for the first time and ensure that you complete Bash TV... I then went through the rest of the game and lo and behold the door was open...

It would be interesting to find out if anyone else who has played it a second time also found this solution...

First time I have come across a bug this bad in the gameplay...

Nothing new to add; just my own exasperated voice stating that I too have gotten the defib upgrade and now can't exit to the wastelands. I'm going to call Tech Support in the morning. It has been my experience that sometimes Bethesda doesn't even know about these issues even though they are discussed online or here in the forums. (I found one they didn't know about in Fallout3).
