Hey everyone, I seem to be having a problem tracking down Vilkas. I've looked all around Jorrvaskr. Inside and out.. can't find him anywhere.. would any of you know where he might be hiding? I've completed most of the companions questline so he should just be wondering around Jorrvaskr right? Help me out. Thanks.

Do you have a Miscellaneous Objective that says to "ask the Companions leaders for work"?

If so you can just make it active and you should get three quest markers showing the respective locations of Aela, Farkas, and Vilkas. You won't know which one is which until you get to their locations but you should be able to find him that way.

If you are not done with the whole questline yet it's possible that he's out on a job, it's not unusual in my game at least to run into members of the Companions traveling around Skyrim. IIRC he is essential until the entire questline is done so he shouldn't have ended up dead somehow.

If you're on PC you can also use console commands to bring him to your current location. Or move yourself to where he is.
