After a couple of hours of google-fu, a lot of people seem to be having an issue with the XtremeGamer and microphones. Is anyone else with the same soundcard as me having the same problem? Is it advisable to enable my onboard sound just for the microphones?
The headphones requires a combo (audio + mic) 4 pin (TRRS) 3.5mm jack. This is stated in the requirements. Most PC soundcards have 3 pin (TRS) 3.5mm jacks. You need a 4 pin 3.5mm jack to Two 3 pin 3.5mm plugs.

Also called TRRS 3.5mm female to (2x) TRS 3.5m male. The Line out/Headphones pin outs are in the standard positions, but the microphone has a different pin out which doesn't line up or it is grounding out. It will never work without an adapter.
