I can't get my newly built PC to work, HELP!

I'm trying to install Windows 8 OEM. Except it just doesn't tell you what you have to [censored] do. I've been spending hours on this damn PC. The main power cable connecting the motherboard to the PSU was defective so I switched it out for a different PSU from Frys. I tried installing Windows 8 OEM again and I'm back to square one. I'm trying to install the updates but my computer just won't connect to the monitor. They're both working but there's no display. I checked, every thing is connected. What the [censored] is going on?

When I was looking through Windows 8 trying to see what the [censored] you do to install it my Dad accidentally ejected the install disk. Every thing seemed to work after I put it back in but then I tried to see if it would work without the install disk and it wouldn't boot. Now we're just at a black screen and the monitor senses no [censored] connection.

What the [censored] do I do? This is a lot more stressful because of the [censored] PSU and Windows 8 and my dad refuses to take it to a computer repair place or to my cousin in law to get it fixed.

If you need more details just ask, I'm really pissed and I'm kind of panicking right now.

Post the specs, and pics of the interior, and be more specific about what happens when you try to turn it on.
