I have 2 amulets of talos and for some reason I cannot drop them....it says it's a quest item. Does anyone know why it says this and if it is a quest, which one is it?
It doesn't weigh anything, like all quest items. But I see your point, I would rather the game let me sort out quest items for myself, I'm not a child.
I have about 10 quest items in my inventory. I don't care to do these quests. I also am not a child. I've been gaming since Atari.
By the way, I have this item "Pantea's flute" for some reason. Don't even remember how I got it. So I run into Pantea in Solitude...and I can't even give it to her. Wow. So very RADIANT. Then I tried to be slick and attempted to drop it in front of her...and well...

"You cannot drop quest items."

Yeah you have to join the Bard's College first and get her quest..

I have found many quest items that have weight giants toes, those pink gems you find that you need 24 of also have weight and quite a few other items. Hoping someone makes a mod to make all quest related items weightless however....

Almost all quest Items are assigned a weight. (Since most are keyed off generic item's. Pantea's Flute for instance is just a named item keyed off an ordinary flute.) However, as long as they are still marked as "quest items" they don't count towards your carry capacity and are therefore weightless. Some stay in your inventory even after you get a message that you turned them in. (A bug I suppose) Generally these DO count towards your weight threshold.
