Can hardly believe what im reading!

I came on the site pretty much excited about getting Crysis2 on PC.

I have never seen so much anger in a game forum about a new release on PC.
No sandbox for PC users? surely not.. This is partly what gave previous games their longevity. Mods, new levels and the community aspect that created etc.

The best things about far cry and crysis were:
Open terrain, Stunning landscapes, interactivity (destruction and physics), graphics (awesomeness)

On both those games just mucking around with the physics, and creating nice looking island and stunt courses was entertaining on its own.

The teething problems look scary, and the comments here are worrying. I cant imagine what the crytek team must be feeling with all this.

So im gonna wait a coupla weeks to see if bugs get sorted out, just about to head to my freinds to try the 360 release.

Please let me find it has a level editor or i will cry.

Erm why does site say ive been a member since 2010, when ive been a member for years? small thing nm

Thanks for reading.

I'm dissapointed with the Multiplayer.

I feel as if its left out alot of cool things from the campaign like picking up objects like barrels and throwing them, this in multiplayer would work in my opinion and dont see why they didnt add it, And it feels as if you're very limited with your suit abilities, like you're energy runs out really quickly.

It just feels like Call of duty with a Crysis "theme" yeah i said it but its what it feels like.

DON'T GET THIS GAME YET!

Don't give Crytek money until they fix the game and the price goes from $60 to $40 or less. Seriously.

Campaign, as far as landscape is concerned is good, but the story is a poor excuse for a sequel, and the Ceph and their technology doesn't even resemble what we knew from Crysis 1. Crytek should fire the conceited story writer of theirs. I feel like I was playing a rip-off of Halo and Metal Gear Solid campaigns; full of Elites, Hunters and Metal Gear Style robots... but nooooo, they forgot about the origonal Ceph technology they had created in the Crysis franchise. Forget the futuristic flying alien tripods and everything you knew, because Crysis 2 may as well be a whole new alternative universe all together.

Multiplayer would be fun, if it even worked half the time.

Have to spend a good 15 minutes to get into a ranked game. Quick searching for a Team Deathmatch? Sorry, but before you know it, you'll be autojoining a different game type.

Here is what you'll be forced to go through if you buy this game.

"Retrieving Session Details"
.... waiting....
waiting some more...
screw it, search for a different server.

"Retrieving Session Details"
...waiting some more...

... ... F***!

Search for another server...

Yes, it's working...

...waiting...

Is this game going to start? (Everone is complaining in the lobby chat)

I guess not...

Search for a new server (quick searching for Team Instant Action)

Waiting, waiting... FINALY!

Yes it's loading!!

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!! Why the hell am I in a Crash Site game?

Well, guess I may as well play...

"DISCONNECTED FROM SERVER"

wtf!

Screw you Crytek!

If the PC version doesn't have an editor why do you think the console version will? Consoles hardly ever have editors unless the game is designed around it. The exception is Infamous 2. But that's just a mission editor. Nowhere near a full mod SDK. I can already tell you, you will be disappointed. In a lot of aspects.

You haven't been gaming long then. I've seen this and took part in it on numerous forums for numerous releases. This is nowhere near the fiasco of AVP3.

Enjoying the XBOX360 single player so far. glad i can still bash people with random objects. I havent found the saucepan of infinate destruction yet. I hope there is one. Not tried multiplayer yet.

Bit gutted that i heard theres no map editors/sandbox for PC either.

At least i can still go swim through a field of cars in antigravity with rocket launcher in cyengine2 if the sudden need arises.

I didnt feel that way with the PC demo, but then again, iyt did annoy me that id taken up bandwidth and time on some thing that gets turned off not too long after idownloaded it, without warning or even explanation on the website. That seems a bit of a **** thing to do..and then leaving the download on the website so i thought it was a different problem with my PC. Was very unhappy about that. Pisstake in fact. i mean are there professional PR guys there or what?

Any way i dont like call of duty, not bothered even trying black ops. same old i guess.

Black Ops is nothing like the previous COD games.

It even have a system to report players for a various reasons. One being reporting players for boosting/cheating.

TA actually put in an effort into black ops..

You're missing out on a great game.

So theres some tactical worth rather than just sprinting around shooting whoever passes in front of you?
MW 1+2 Multiplayer were absolute boring. Id rather play Battlefield play4free than those as far as MP goes.

i agree with your rnats about the server issues. that aside though your saying the alien tech is very different from what we know of crysis!!!!! did you actually pay any attention to the story line. of course the tech is very different!! as different as the tech on earth would be after thousands of years.

in crysis 1 the aliens were unde the ground for thousands of years. then in crysis 2 ( set 3 years later)

the aliens have come from wherever they live. so the difference in tech is due to the time difference of thousands of years.!!!!!

next time pay attention.

I'd just like to ask..wheres this 'destruction'? feature.. E.G In the first crysis, you could smash the hell outta wood, now, I couldnt even break a simple park bench? I'm running on HIGHER, although I can run it alright on the EXTREME, but that made no difference, am I missing something? :Z

Overall though, I don't like COD, but I find this multiplayer fantastic! I also love the campaign, I just wish they would have increased the sensitivity of the tank turrets? Very very slow xD
