Can we have an optional free DLC where dragons (and vampires

Post » Tue Oct 09, 2012 11:43 pm

I know a lot of people like this sort of thing, but I hate it, which is why I'm asking for optional DLC to get rid of them - that way at least people who do like the random attacks still get them while people like me can barter goods in peace without risk of having half the vendors being killed. Almost half of the Riften population on my save is now dead because of the constant vampire attacks, and I'm put off from doing the main quest on most of my saves because of the dragon attacks.

I will never understand why people play Bethesda games on consoles.

Well be glad that they do because consoles make up 90% of the sales. The only reason there is a Skyrim is because of the console market.

I will never understand why people can't accept that some people just don't have the money to upgrade their PC.

It is, and although Markarth is a nice city, restricting myself to one city gets dull. :P

No, delete Dawnguard before you start a new playthrough, download it when you're ready for it.

Dragons rarely attack cities, seriously it is so damn rare.

Or Bethesda could just release a free DLC...

I'm pretty sure I've had this argument with you before in the Dawnguard forum, and I'm not about to start it again, so let's just leave it there. If you don't like my suggestion, then practice what you're preaching and don't click on my topic.

If Dragons and Vampires are a concern, don't fast travel directly into the city. Fast travel to the stables if you have to, or take carriages, but never directly into the cities.. Fast Traveling triggers the events.

I know this may not be a solution for you but if you finish the Dawnguard quest line, the attacks are reduced dramatically, or at least they did for me.

? Consoles are a lot more expensive than PC, comparatively to what you can do with a console (play games) and with a PC (everything + play games). Games for consoles are also a lot more expensive, aren't they? I paid barely 33 € for my Skyrim, shipping fees included.

I actually don't recall that, Im sure it was more like one post from me saying it is not a big deal or something like that.
Not an argument by any means, perhaps a short debate that I forgot.

I think you have a good suggestion, it's just there is too many bugs in this game to waste time releasing this.
And sure as hell won't be released as free DLC, this option could easily just be included in a patch.

Actually, what triggers the event is changing location: getting out of a house, leaving a cell and entering another, fast travelling, using carriages, etc.
