Any solid info on these matters would be very much appreciated.
There is no formal release date because if they have to change it again, there will be less QQ.
The game is in beta, and they might know what they are aiming for, but, since Bethesda is publishing this, they aren't going to announce a date until they know they will make that date.
I wish they would come up with payment information too. I'd like to have definite plans to look over.
Step 1) You pay them
Step 2) You play the game
ok can an official answer weather or not us XB1's will have to P2P?
You mean the $15? yeah, you have to pay that, no need for an official to answer that. If you are talking about the $5 fee for Xbox 1.
1. not bethesda's fault Microsoft and Sony are making people pay for internet access they technically already have.
2. ZOS has said they will talk to them about it, but they have not stated what is actually has been said.
Because they could be paying Xbox live fees on top of ESO's individual fees. It's an added fee on top of the subscription for ESO, so it's perfectly acceptable to wonder if altogether it will be a different price from PC. It's inherently unfair for someone who doesn't want to spend the money on a PC and enjoys consoles to have to pay more than someone on the PC. If it's too much of a price difference, consoles will hurt bad, along with the console players.
I think the question comes down to whether or not you want a set date, but it being a month later than what it could have been, or no set date and have the game released earlier. ZOS has shown they aren't going to skip/release an unfinished game and are okay with pushing it back, and are okay with doing it again should they feel they need more time. Beta doesn't mean the game is done, it means they're testing it. If games in the beta stage all had set release dates during its earlier phases, wouldn't that mean that any game that wasn't ready and released anyways didn't take beta tester feedback into account?
Personally a fixed date to me seems like an insult and showing they care more about punctuality than they do functionality. I want a solid game, not a solid release date. Too much can happen in a beta to be able to predict a release date, and if they aren't planning on having to change anything or to improve their game, it wasn't a good game to begin with.
IT is not Zos's fault Microsoft and sony are leechers.
From my understanding Microsoft is the leecher as they seem to be the only one that ZOS has to negotiate with to remove the fee. Sony has already said that MMO devs could have their games playable without the fee.
Microsoft is probably looking to get a timed exclusive and tempting ZOS and Bethesda with wads of cash. Say it gets released first on the Xbox1 for a month before everyone else, I can see this happening.
Hard to do since it already has a console beta timed exclusive with Sony. I doubt they'd say no to the Playstation 4 players after they already played the beta.
I wouldn't put it past Microsoft to do something like this, but I highly doubt it would release before the PC version. They might be more tempted between consoles, but I doubt with the PC.
