I have the house called lakeview manor the housecarl i got is Rayya I believe I then made her my steward and hired a bard but he didnt have a good set of tunes so i fired him however my steward Rayya does not have the option again to hire a bard like she should

so is there a way i can hire one on my own?

While purchasing upgrades, the option to buy a Bard disappeared even though i never selected it.

it is affected by the number of chickens you get, of all things. More than three chickens, no bard.

Bards are afraid of chickens? Odd, but not surprising.

That's odd. I am unable to purchase more than three chickens, at least at Lakeview Manor. Haven't tried the other houses.

I don't remember ever having the bard option ...and I have no chickens....

I rolled back to previous saves because "iforgotwhathisnameis nightingale" prevents my steward illia from sleeping.

its kinda cool but not reallt because the guy doesnt even know the tune Dragonborn.

also his last name nightingale just kinda had me suspicious because well ya know nightingale (sp?)

as far as i know there is only 3 nightingale Kaliah, Brynjolf and my char.

Also wish the bard at lakeview was a chick only. Not really into some dude singing to me.

To bad we couldnt just go hire a bard ourselves. Id hire Lisette from Solitude in trade for the nightingale bard.

And there is no point ever firing the bard thinking you are getting a different one, that was the only bard you were going to get. it might be a glitch if you cannot get them back, or maybe you got extras of something else and the option has vanished never to be seen again.



it is meant to work that way, but somehow it seems it can glitch and you get another chicken and no bard. Stopping at two chickens is probably best, because the no bard syndrome could maybe go off with three chickens. I got three and still got the bard, so not sure about that. I thought my first character got 2, 3 and 4 chickens and only the last house lost the option for a bard. but then the 4th chicken seemed to have moved houses anyway.
